Important Information

For a pre-purchase examination, please make sure the yard can provide a flat, level surface suitable for a trot-up, a dark stable for eye examination, and a rider along with an appropriate area to ride in to allow completion of a full five-stage examination. Please note that the vet will need to see the horse’s passport and vaccination records. The horse must be fully groomed, with clean, mud-free limbs, and should be correctly shod or trimmed to allow the examination to be carried out properly. The horse should also be stabled for 3 hours prior to the pre-purchase examination.
