Our Values
Respect, Compassion, Progression, Care, Sustainability and Integrity.
Our Mission
To provide the highest level of veterinary care and support to our farming community, with animal welfare, productivity and sustainability at the heart of what we do.

Why Chose The George Farm Vets?
Established in 1948, The George has a long history of supporting and working with dairy, beef and sheep farms; providing a high-quality service and delivering specialist advice.
Based in Malmesbury, our team of eighteen dedicated farm vets and four approved TB testers and veterinary technicians provide a 24-hour service across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Bristol.
We are proud to be an independent veterinary practice with full commercial and professional freedom. Our practice is RCVS accredited, and we strive to uphold our key values of Respect, Compassion, Progression, Care, Sustainability and Integrity.
We believe that providing a high-quality service is based on investment in people. We are passionate about knowledge transfer, training and development. Further education for our vets is encouraged, to develop a group with wide ranging interests and skills, helping us tackle any on-farm problems that arise.
As a result of this, there are several vets with RCVS-recognised certificates and diplomas within the team. Collaboration with our farmers through discussion groups and meetings helps us share insights and further the team approach. Our training services cover a wide range of skills and topics, many of which are industry recognised. We care about and contribute to our farming community, hosting a range of charity and social events throughout the year. Many of our vets sit on external boards within the agricultural and veterinary industries, providing insight and shaping policy across multiple platforms.
We are committed to Sustainability in all its forms; whether that means inspiring loyalty and longevity in our vets, working to reduce our own carbon footprint or collaborating with our farmers to future proof their businesses.
We prioritise client relationships and case continuity. We aim to assign an experienced farm vet to all our clients to promote case continuity and consistency. Our vets are encouraged to build good working relationships with our farmers, working to understand their business goals and needs. Our vets are available on their mobiles for free telephone advice, and we have 2 specialist farm vets available at all times to cover emergency calls, whenever they occur.
